Area Police
Around fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release.
Officers state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.
The liquid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they stated.
Officers then discovered numerous other smeared vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.
These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement report early analysis indicate the fluid was probably human blood.
"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; investigators are currently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.
Local authorities announced they were attempting "to resolve the case" and have requested to the community for details.
An important representative commented the incident left him without words and had to be solved rapidly.
"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing attack in 2020," he wrote on online, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a shooter targeting individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
